Glenn Farquhar from Art Fusion talks about why Art is worth owning?

Art encourages people to ask questions and to think deeply about new ideas, experience fresh new perspectives and most importantly, it encourages us to take time out of our busy lives to reflect on more than just the need to survive. Abstract art which is so open to interpretation is particularly good for this purpose. Owning art allows people to express their personalities.

Hanging Artworks improves our quality of life at home or in a business environment. Consider hiring artworks on a rotating basis for your business to surprise your employees and customers with something fresh, and if later you feel you just can’t part with it we can sell the painting to you of course.

Art can stimulate conversation, dialogue and exchange of ideas even between total strangers who might never otherwise never start a conversation. It gives people permission to share thoughts, feelings, ideas and impressions that they might not ordinarily share. Abstract art is a great conversation starter at parties. Love it or hate it your guests will notice it and talk about it.

Children who live with art are different. They ask more questions as they fantasize, imagine, explore and expand their perceptions. Art gives children permission to be creative in their lives. Original art works have a certain energy that reproductions and mass-produced items simply don’t have. Instinctively one knows a human being made it, and not a machine. Abstract artwork, with its raw energy, co-ordinates perfectly with trending primitive tribal sculpture and artifacts as well as modern sculpture and eclectic interiors. Art enlivens stale or drab spaces, homes as well as businesses, suggesting new colour combinations and arrangements of furniture, rugs and forms. Art encourages change and renovation.

Art gives back as it inspires and uplifts on an ongoing basis. An original work enhances and magnifies or modifies the personality of the individual who owns it. Abstract art always makes a statement and the statement you make is entirely up to you. When you buy original art then you know you are getting a piece that is one of a kind. You are the only person who will own the painting, and that is a special feeling.

Great art makes people proud of their workplace. many people decide where to spend their time (and money) based on the art that businesses have on display. Commercial spaces often attract people because of their stimulating art and interior decor. Investing in art isn’t just for the super-rich. Your art does not even have to rise in value to pay you back with hours of pleasure. You stand a chance of making money with every original artwork you purchase but it’s always best to buy a work you love. At Art Fusion we like to think that the work chooses you.
